Zagreb flat cleaning prices 2026: per hour and per m²
Need someone to clean your flat and not sure if €15 an hour is a lot or a little? A lot of people ask that. The price of flat cleaning in Zagreb varies a lot. It depends on who cleans, how they charge, and what condition the flat is in.
We checked public price lists from Zagreb cleaning services and cleaning ads in October 2026. Here’s what you can expect.
In short: how much does flat cleaning cost in Zagreb
- For regular cleaning, most people pay €10 to €15 an hour. The range goes from €9 to €20.
- Services that charge by the hour ask around €14 to €18, and they usually come for at least three to four hours.
- Deep cleaning is most often charged at €2.60 to €4.50 per square metre. Some higher-end services start at €7 per square metre.
- Services often have a minimum amount per visit, usually between €60 and €150.
These are rough figures. You only get a final price once the cleaner knows the size, the condition of the flat, and exactly what you want done.

By the hour or by the square metre?
For regular upkeep you usually pay by the hour. That’s vacuuming, dusting, bathroom, kitchen and floors. If that takes three hours in a 50 m² flat at €12 an hour, you’ll pay €36.
Deep cleaning is more often charged per square metre. That’s better for you because you know the price upfront and nobody is watching the clock. Deep cleaning a 50 m² flat takes roughly four to six hours.
When to choose which?
- By the hour is better for regular cleaning and smaller flats, when you know exactly what needs doing.
- Per square metre is better for one-off cleans: before moving in, after moving out, or when the flat hasn’t had a thorough clean in a long time.
If you need a thorough clean, check providers for deep cleaning in Zagreb.
Examples: what it might cost for your flat
Studio of 30 m²
Per square metre, deep cleaning would cost roughly €80 to €135. But watch the visit minimum. Plenty of services ask for at least €60 to €150 per visit, so the maths changes fast in a small flat. For a studio it’s often better to find someone who charges by the hour.
Flat of 50 m²
- Regular cleaning of three hours: about €30 to €45 per visit.
- Deep cleaning: about €130 to €225.
Flat of 80 m²
On larger flats the price per square metre is usually a bit lower. For 80 m², plan on roughly €2.90 to €4 per square metre. That’s about €230 to €320 for a deep clean.
What pushes the price up
Condition of the flat. A flat after a move or renovation needs a lot more work. Plaster dust and paint stains don’t come off with a normal cloth.
Windows. Cleaning windows on both sides is often charged separately, around €3 to €3.50 per square metre of glass.
Oven, fridge and carpets. Deep cleaning those is usually an add-on on top of the base price.
Pets and number of bathrooms. Hair on the sofa and two bathrooms mean more work.
Cleaning products. Ask who brings them. With some they’re included in the price, with others they’re not.

How to avoid nasty surprises
- Send photos and the floor area. That way you get a real quote, not a “we’ll see on site”.
- Agree what is included in the price. Windows, oven, balcony? Better to say it upfront than argue at the end.
- Ask about the minimum charge. Especially if the flat is small.
- For regular cleaning, agree a fixed slot and hourly rate. Easier for you and for the person cleaning.
- Check ratings. Other people’s experience says more than any description.
